Ponyboi Movie: The story, which takes place on a single day, centers on Ponyboi (Gallo), a young sex worker who is forced to flee from the mob and his violent pimp (Dylan O’Brien) after a cocaine deal goes awry. Ponyboi sets off on a search for freedom through the underbelly of New Jersey with the aid of an enigmatic cowboy named Bruce (played by Murray Bartlett).
